San Francisco officials hope a 45-foot-tall sculpture of a naked woman is just the thing to bring shoppers back to the city’s famed Union Square neighborhood.

Marco Cochrane’s aforesaid work debuted at the 2013 Burning Man festival. The installation, which will be illuminated at night, will debut in Union Square on January 29, followed by an official party on February 6.

According to the project’s organizers, the sculpture is a symbol of “female strength and empowerment.”

R-Evolution is made of steel rod and tubes with two layers of geodesic triangles and covered in stainless steel mesh, creating a detailed and dynamic interplay of light and form.

The sculpture “breathes” for one hour each day via a kinetic feature. At night, it will be illuminated by a glowing light.
