Kobe Bryant's sneakers up for auction: Expected to fetch $800,000

The sneakers worn by Kobe Bryant during the famous 2013 "Achilles Game" are up for auction. Sotheby's is predicting they will fetch up to $800,000.

A pair of Nike Kobe 8 Elite "Lakers Home" sneakers — which Bryant wore on April 12, 2013, despite a torn Achilles tendon — will be included in Sotheby's The One sale, which begins Feb. 7 in New York.

The pair is expected to sell for between $600,000 and $800,000. Last July, Sotheby's sold Bryant's locker at the Staples Center for $2.9 million, ESPN reported.
