14:35 3 April, 2025Rosamund Pike has revealed how awkward and humiliating it was to film a sex scene with Pierce Brosnan in Die Another Day.
On David Tennant Does a Podcast With…, the actress opened up about how she "discovered things like nipple covers and duct tape" when she made her big-screen debut as one of James Bond's love interests, Miranda Frost, in 2002.
"I look at this body tape and nipple covers, and they're covered in hair. And I'm like, 'Oh my God, I'm waxing Pierce's chest!'"
She said she was "so humiliated" because she thought she was "pulling hair out every time we hugged." However, after a few takes, she realized that she wasn't actually hurting the actor, but was covered in "faux fur" from the carpets they were tumbling on.
During the conversation, Tennant also noted that the tense scene could have been awkward due to their 26-year age difference. She was just 23 when the film premiered, while Brosnan was 49.
However, Pike noted that Brosnan "couldn't have been more supportive or kind" during the filming of the cult action movie.
