Kim Kardashian hurt by 3 failed marriages - but hasn't lost hope

Kim Kardashian has hinted at wanting to remarry—but she has been deeply hurt by her three failed marriages.

She is now hoping to put the past behind her and write a new chapter in her personal life, a source tells In Touch.

"Kim is trying to look at her mistakes as life lessons—but that doesn't mean she isn't ashamed of her three failed marriages," the insider says.

Kim first married at age 19 to music producer Damon Thomas, who was 10 years her senior at the time. The relationship didn't last, and they divorced just three years after their wedding, in 2003.

Then came Kim's infamously short-lived relationship with Kris Humphries. They married after just six months of dating in 2011, but then split 72 days later after Kim filed for divorce due to “irreconcilable differences.”

And the third husband, Kanye West, turned out to be her longest marriage. Following a public breakdown and continued erratic behavior from the “Stronger” rapper, Kim filed for divorce in February 2021.

The source notes that while Kim is primarily focused on her kids now, “she can’t help but worry that she’ll never find ‘the one,’ which is really sad because that’s all she wanted as a kid—to meet her person and be with them for the rest of her life.”

“But things didn’t work out that way, and what’s even harder is how public her failures were.”

“She really believed in all three of her marriages, but after three failures, it takes real courage to try again,” the insider explains. "Kanye in particular left a lasting scar and she is still dealing with the aftermath. While he gave her four wonderful children, the marriage ultimately became a nightmare. She is a romantic at heart, but there is no denying that she still has some trauma to overcome."
