Yerevan Wine Days 2025: Armenia’s main wine festival returns with new concept

Yerevan will once again be filled with the sweet aroma of wine and the melodies of favorite songs in early June. The ninth Yerevan Wine Days festival, the main wine event of the year, will take place in the capital of Armenia, from June 6 to 8.

This year, the festival will reach a new level. Under the “Your Wine Day Journey” campaign, which aims to publicize Armenia’s wine routes, offering a special agenda for enjoying wine and discovering wine culture, guests will have the opportunity not only to walk from stand to stand, but also to take part in a real gastronomic journey throughout the city.

The festival’s new project, “Your Wine Day Route,” will offer 20 unique routes that combine museums, historical and cultural sites related to winemaking, wineries, and experimental sites. You can start one of these routes in the morning at the Wine History Museum, continue in the afternoon at the Moonq winery, and end in the evening at one of the Yerevan Wine Days stages where jazz, folk, indie, and Armenian music will be played with a modern interpretation.

The festival stages will again bring together favorite artists and young musicians. The 2025 music program will be titled “Love, Yerevan,” a joint project with the Yerevan Municipality. Each day will be dedicated to one song about Yerevan, the lyrics of which will be distributed to the guests. And every day, starting from 10pm, all those gathered will perform it together in the format of a musical flash mob. The beloved YereWine audio performance will continue also with a 3D audio presentation, which will be accompanied by a tasting of white and red wines. This year, up to 100 winemakers—from established brands to newcomers—are expected to participate. 

The Yerevan Wine Days festival is an important platform not only for the presentation of Armenian wine, but also for the launch of young winemakers, experimental labels, and wine discoveries. Also, for the ninth year in a row, you will be able see wineries that have become permanent participants in the festival. This speaks of high trust and authority in the project. 

Due to the growing flow of guests—both locals and tourists, the festival’s organizers are expanding the event area: in addition to Saryan, Tumanyan, and Moskovyan Streets, this year the festival will expand to Marshal Baghramyan Avenue as well.

The festival will feature successful partnerships with the Yerevan Municipality, as well as the Armenian Tourism Committee and some other state organizations. “State support is expressed not only in finances, but also in logistics, communications, infrastructure and, most importantly, in the strategic recognition of the importance of this festival for the country’s tourism and winemaking,” the organizers note.

Thus, in 2024, the Yerevan Wine Days festival received a musical stage named after Charles Aznavour from the Yerevan Municipality for the first time. It became a new attraction, uniting the Armenian capital city’s wine and music culture. This festival regularly attracts the attention of international media—like CNN, Forbes, Euronews, Wine Travel Awards—and wine experts. In 2022, the festival was recognized as “Event of the Year,” and in 2024 it won in the “Regional Magnet” nomination. 

This year, the Yerevan Wine Days festival organizers are preparing media tours and professional visits for international guests to familiarize them not only with the festival atmosphere, but also with the Armenian winemaking system.
