15:20 17 June, 2025Jurors in the explosive sex trafficking and racketeering case against music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs were shown damning video evidence for the first time this week, as prosecutors presented clips central to the allegations. According to the Associated Press, the footage — taken during so-called "freak-offs" — depicts drug-fueled sex marathons organized by Combs and involving multiple partners.
The explicit clips, just minutes long, were recovered from a phone linked to Combs and handed over to authorities by his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie (Cassandra Ventura). One video, dated October 14, 2012, allegedly shows Combs orchestrating an encounter at New York’s Trump International Hotel with Cassie and a sex worker known as “The Punisher” (real name Shareé Hayes).
Text messages presented in court detailed Cassie arranging the meeting, with Hayes quoting a $200 cash fee and confirming a 3 a.m. hotel rendezvous. Two additional videos from October 20, 2012, and December 4, 2014, were also shown — this time with audio, unlike earlier static screenshots previously shared with the jury.
Due to the graphic nature of the content, viewing was restricted to jurors, attorneys, the prosecution, and Combs himself, with all participants using headphones for the audio portion.
Combs’ legal team argued the footage demonstrates consensual adult activity, not criminal conduct. Prosecutors countered that the videos reveal a long-running pattern of exploitation masked as “parties,” pointing to a broader network of coerced encounters and sex trafficking.
The 55-year-old rapper and producer remains in custody without bail following his September arrest. The prosecution is expected to wrap its case this week, after six weeks of proceedings involving dozens of witnesses, text messages, hotel records, and GPS data tied to Combs and his associates. The defense will begin presenting its witnesses shortly.
