Versace bids farewell to Donatella: final campaign stars Claudia Schiffer and Kate Moss

For her last campaign as Versace’s Creative Director, Donatella Versace gathered the brand’s true “family” — longtime friends and muses of the house.

The Fall 2025 campaign features icons Claudia Schiffer, Kate Moss, Kristen McMenamy, Amber Valletta, Natasha Poly, Saskia de Brauw, Liu Wen, Mika Arganaraz, Anok Yai, Mila Van Eaten, and Jacqui Hooper. The legendary duo Mert & Marcus, who have collaborated with Versace for years, shot the campaign, reports WWD.

“With this campaign, we wanted to convey a message of joy, love, and hope for the future,” Donatella shared. “It’s not just about the clothes — it’s the spirit on set. These images were made with soul, made with friendship. Every collection tells a story, and this is Versace’s story. I’m always ready for the next chapter.”

In April, Prada Group officially announced the €1.25 billion acquisition of 100% of Versace from Capri Holdings, expected to close in the second half of 2025. Earlier in March, it was revealed that Dario Vitale, formerly Women’s Design Director at Miu Miu, would succeed Donatella as Versace’s new Creative Director. Prada Group CEO Andrea Guerra emphasized Vitale’s departure from Miu Miu was “a fully personal decision” unrelated to the Versace deal.

For Donatella, this transition marks a significant milestone. After the tragic death of Gianni Versace in 1997, she took the helm and led the brand into a new era. Beyond her iconic status in fashion, Donatella is known for championing youth and vulnerable communities, advocating for LGBTQIA+ rights, and supporting numerous charitable causes. Designers she helped launch include Christopher Kane, Anthony Vaccarello, and Jonathan Anderson.
