Paris Restaurant “Baieta” by Julia Sedefdjian Retains Its Michelin Star
11:30 5 July, 2025Parisian restaurant Baieta, run by Julia Sedefdjian, has once again been awarded a coveted Michelin star.
Julia Sedefdjian, a chef of Armenian-Sicilian heritage, is known as France’s youngest Michelin-starred chef, having earned her first star at just 21 years old.

“What immense joy and deep pride to see my restaurant continue to be recognized with a star in the Michelin Guide,” Julia shared on Instagram. “This is an acknowledgment that honors years of dedication, discipline, and passion. I want to warmly thank everyone who stands by me every day — my team, for their commitment and consistency, and everyone who has supported me since the beginning of this journey. This star is the result of collective effort.”
Originally from Nice, Sedefdjian moved to Paris in 2012 and began working at the Michelin-starred Les Fables de La Fontaine. She was promoted to sous-chef in 2013 and, remarkably, became head chef in 2015 at just 20 years old. Julia not only maintained the restaurant’s Michelin star but did so while completely revamping the menu and cutting dish prices by half.
In 2018, she opened her own restaurant, Baieta, which specializes in refined cuisine inspired by the culinary traditions of Nice. Just ten months after opening, Baieta earned its first Michelin star in 2019 — a testament to Julia’s remarkable talent and passion for her craft.
