20:30 20 August, 2025New York has once again immersed itself in the world of high fashion as filming begins for the long-awaited sequel The Devil Wears Prada 2, turning the set into a true showcase for luxury accessories. Leading stars, including Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, were spotted carrying bags from top designers — from Celine and Valentino to Dior, Stella McCartney, Fendi, Yves Saint Laurent, and more, reports WWD.

Anne Hathaway brought back the vintage 1999 Coach Metropolitan Briefcase, while her character’s evening look featured the Silver 1969 Nano bag from Rabanne, adorned with 282 handcrafted metal discs. The set also showcased two Valentino models: the fringed and studded Nellcôte ($2,690) and the brand-new Panthea in nappa leather ($3,800), freshly unveiled on the Fall 2025 runway.

Meryl Streep, reprising Miranda Priestly, dazzled with an unseen Celine Flat Cabas Luggage bag and a vintage Pinel et Pinel clutch. Emily Blunt opted for the Dior D-Journey Bag valued at $5,300, while Stanley Tucci carried a leather Berluti Cartable E’Mio with document compartments.

Costume designer Molly Rogers curated a selection of totes, briefcases, clutches, and hobos — stylish pieces likely to set accessory trends well before the film’s release in 2026.

Fashion fans are already speculating which bags will become iconic post-release, as the set brought together true “icons” of designer accessories. Both vintage and new models on screen promise to rekindle interest in luxury handbags and inspire bold purchases among fashion enthusiasts.
