In an era obsessed with dieting and weight-loss drugs like Ozempic and Mounjaro, a $74,000 restaurant bill was destined to go viral. The jaw-dropping tab came from 18 diners at the newly opened Annabel restaurant in Palmanova, Mallorca.

The eatery shared a photo of the seemingly endless receipt, which included a staggering $49,500 spent on an assortment of fish dishes alone. The extravagant evening not only filled the restaurant’s coffers but also made Annabel the talk of the town, with major outlets covering the record-breaking bill.

Among the guests was reportedly a famous American athlete, with an average spend of around $3,865 per person — not including the generous $6,380 tip. The group indulged in almost everything on the menu: high-end bottles like Dom Pérignon Rosé and Louis Roederer Cristal Rosé, dishes such as red prawn risotto, garlic prawns, handmade pappardelle, as well as pizzas, salads, and of course, the legendary $49,500 fish “package.”

Annabel, a beachfront hotspot offering valet service, opened in summer 2025 and quickly became a local sensation. Its menu combines Mediterranean luxury with premium seafood, select meats, Italian-inspired dishes, wood-fired pizzas, and handmade pasta.
