Cannabis hits the runway at New York Fashion Week

This season at New York Fashion Week, fashion and cannabis collided on the runway. Gotham, a New York-based company specializing in legal cannabis products, teamed up with designers Collina Strada and Eckhaus Latta to showcase a fusion of style and botanical relaxation, reports WWD.

The collaborations featured models smoking cannabis on the runway, alongside limited-edition products inspired by the plant: a Collina Strada top with a built-in vape pen pocket and Eckhaus Latta x Gotham smoking kits.

“Both Eckhaus Latta and Collina Strada embody the spirit of innovation, community, and authenticity that we cultivate at Gotham,” said Rachel Burks, VP of Product Development and Partnerships.

Designers emphasized that the partnerships offer a chance to experiment and create products that didn’t exist before. “Collaborating with Gotham allows us to challenge conventional perceptions and integrate cannabis into fashion as seamlessly as the silhouette of a garment,” added Collina Strada founder Hillary Taymour.
