Priscilla Presley reveals romance with Robert Kardashian after divorce from Elvis

In her new memoir Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis, 80-year-old Priscilla Presley shares surprising details about her personal life. It turns out that after her divorce from the King of Rock ’n’ Roll, she had a romance with another legendary figure — attorney Robert Kardashian, future husband of Kris Jenner and father of Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, and Rob Jr.

According to Priscilla, one night Elvis called her around 2 a.m. while Kardashian was in her bed. “He would have gone ballistic if he knew Robert was in my bedroom. Elvis always carried a loaded gun, sometimes even more than one,” she writes.

The romance began in 1975, two years after Priscilla and Elvis divorced. Robert was “sweet,” she recalls, but his demanding career as a Hollywood lawyer complicated the relationship. Despite that, Kardashian took the romance seriously and even considered proposing to Priscilla.

Friends of Kardashian confirmed that Elvis frequently called his ex-wife, even when Robert was present, and Priscilla would let Kardashian listen in by placing the phone on the pillow.

Although their love story didn’t end in marriage, Priscilla says they maintained a friendship until Robert’s death from cancer in 2003. “He was the kindest person, and I remember him with great affection,” she writes.

Priscilla’s book is set to be released on September 23.
