13:30 3 October, 2025Netherlands-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist Ara (Ara Abrahamyan) is currently visiting Yerevan — a city he hadn’t seen in four years and one he eagerly longed to return to. This time around, the Armenian capital welcomed him with even more warmth, offering not only heartfelt reunions but also new artistic opportunities.
During his stay, Ara has met with local musicians and industry professionals, leading to several performance offers. His first appearance is scheduled for tonight at 8:00 p.m. at "Varpet" bar in downtown Yerevan — an open-entry concert. He is also set to perform in Tatev on October 4, marking his first-ever visit to the scenic southern region of Armenia.
Although he was born and raised in Netherlands, Ara says Armenia is his greatest source of inspiration — a place that breathes life into songs about history, identity, and resilience.
“I feel a deep responsibility to share our story with others,” Ara told NEWS.am STYLE during an interview at Yerevan’s iconic Cascade complex, where the city’s stunning views unfold behind him.
During the conversation, the artist opened up about his creative process, the inspiration behind his recent work, and his aspiration to one day represent Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest.
