Ivanka Trump faces backlash over “blatant hypocrisy” after lavish birthday celebration

Ivanka Trump is once again in the spotlight, this time facing criticism for what many see as “blatant hypocrisy” after sharing glimpses of her lavish 44th birthday celebration—just days after speaking publicly about food insecurity in the United States.

The mother of three celebrated with a rooftop party in New York City, surrounded by close friends and wearing an elegant black dress. But social media users were quick to call out the former first daughter for what they viewed as a stark contrast: discussing proper nutrition for the underprivileged one moment, and hosting a glamorous celebration the next.

PR expert Jacey Cooper of Cooper Communications told Daily Mail that Ivanka likely intended to “separate her personal life from her professional work,” but the attempt backfired.

“Celebrations, philanthropy, and conversations about health all come across as disconnected. It makes her appear insincere: yesterday—food insecurity; today—champagne and a rooftop,” Cooper said.

Cooper added that Trump may need to make a choice: either cultivate her image as a socialite and luxury entrepreneur or genuinely commit to social projects.

The birthday posts came just days after Ivanka attended the Think Health Summit in Arkansas, where she spoke about the link between nutrition and health.

“129 million Americans suffer from at least one chronic condition, and 60% of those are diet-related. If food causes disease, food should be part of the treatment,” she remarked.

However, the public was not impressed. Dozens of critical comments appeared under her posts: “People haven’t been paid for two months—thanks to your dad,” one user wrote, referencing Donald Trump.
“The most out-of-touch family in America,” added another.
