North West Says People 'Hate' on Mom Kim Kardashian's Met Gala Outfits 'Every Year'

North West never holds back when it comes to her mom Kim Kardashian's fashion looks, People writes. 

In a new episode of The Kardashians airing on Thursday, Nov. 27, the SKIMS founder, 45, is preparing for the 2025 Met Gala. When an issue with her outfit comes up, she regrets her decision to attend the annual New York City event.

“They misunderstood, they cut it three inches too short, and it’s a piece of alligator, so we can’t get another piece," she says as she gets her hair done by longtime stylist Chris Appleton. "Now we have to add a piece, so there’s gonna be a seam, which will look … if it looks horrible, I’m not going.”

Both Appleton and Kim's makeup artist, Mario Dedivanovic, are shocked to hear the star consider not going to the event, at which she's become a highly anticipated guest.

In order to encourage her to go, Kim's daughter North brings her mom flowers and a balloon. She also offered some blunt words of support: “What’s the worst that can happen? People hate on your outfit? They do that every year," the 12-year-old says.

The reality star appreciates North's gesture and ends up appearing at the Met Gala.

On Monday, May 5, Kim hit the iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art steps in a crocodile leather off-the-shoulder two-piece set by Chrome Hearts with an open back and long train.

She accessorized the look with strings of pearls hanging by her waistband, a multi-strand diamond necklace and a large leather hat.

Kim made her Met Gala debut in 2013 with ex-husband Kanye West.

Many of her looks over the years — including wearing Marilyn Monroe's dress in 2022 and a full-body black Balenciaga dress that covered her face in 2021 — have sparked debate.
