Maison Margiela steps into luxury real estate with exclusive residences on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah

Iconic French fashion house Maison Margiela, renowned for its avant-garde designs, exposed construction, and transformative fashion, is making a bold leap into luxury real estate. The brand has confirmed the launch of Maison Margiela Residences, an exclusive residential project in collaboration with Alta Real Estate Development on Dubai’s famous artificial island, Palm Jumeirah, reports Hypebeast.

The project translates Margiela’s signature DNA from the runway to living spaces. The development will feature 25 one-of-a-kind residences, designed alongside Italian architect Carlo Colombo. Each home embodies the brand’s fascination with materiality, featuring custom-made furniture, lighting, beds, and tables. Interiors express a “quiet rebellion” through unique finishes, including resin-filled surfaces, travertine details with décortiqué treatment, and optical-white areas that play with light and perception.

Residents will enjoy a lifestyle of elegance and discretion, with access to an art gallery, spa, fitness studios, and the brand’s own Margiela Café. This residential venture complements the label’s broader Middle Eastern strategy, which includes opening new boutiques in the region.

According to OTB Group Chairman Renzo Rosso, Maison Margiela Residences represents the first step in a larger plan “to define the unmistakable style of one of the most unique fashion houses in the world.”
