Mercedes and Binghatti have unveiled Mercedes-Benz Places – Binghatti City, an $8 billion residential district in Dubai. The project expands their partnership from a single 65-story tower announced last year into a full urban ecosystem.

The development spans nearly 10 million square feet in Meydan, west of Downtown Dubai, marking the first time a luxury automotive brand has designed an entire city district — a bold move perfectly suited for the Middle East.

Mercedes-Benz Places – Binghatti City is envisioned as a self-contained ecosystem, combining luxury residences with retail boulevards, cultural venues, parks, wellness facilities, dining destinations, and entertainment spaces. Daily necessities will be within walking distance, while the architecture and urban planning reflect Mercedes’ signature design language. This shift from a standalone tower to an entire district reflects a growing trend: buyers increasingly value community and wellness alongside location and prestige.

While pricing for the new district has not yet been released, reference can be made to the 65-story Downtown Dubai tower. There, two-bedroom apartments started at $2.4 million, three-bedroom units at $5.4 million, four-bedroom residences at $9.5 million, and penthouses exceeded $21.5 million. With the expanded scale of the new development, entry-level units could start around $2.7–3.3 million.

Mercedes-Benz’s move highlights the growing trend of branded residences, where wealthy buyers invest not only in luxury real estate but also in the lifestyle, identity, and prestige associated with globally recognized brands.
