Prada unveils dream jewelry collection with gems up to 60 carats

Since launching its first jewelry line in 2022, Prada has been pushing boundaries with bold designs and innovative approaches. The Eternal Gold collection impressed with large geometric pendants crafted from recycled gold, while the follow-up, Eternal Gold: A New Facet, introduced lab-grown diamonds. This year, Miuccia Prada and Creative Director Raf Simons have gone even further with Couleur Vivante, a vibrant new collection where colorful gemstones take center stage, reports Robb Report.

Bright chromatic combinations give a fresh twist to traditional gems. Highlights include earrings featuring deep Windex-blue aquamarines paired with “cotton-candy” pink morganites totaling 49.39 carats, as well as lemon-green peridots weighing 60.34 carats. Triangular stones are paired with larger gems using baguette diamonds and minimalist 18-karat white gold settings.

Sourcing stones with the perfect size, clarity, and saturation took 18 months, as Prada specialists worked closely with miners to find rough crystals suitable for their signature Prada Cut. This unique cutting technique creates a new architectural dimension to each stone, emphasizing the modernity of the collection.

The geometric aesthetic runs throughout the entire line — rings, bracelets, and necklaces alike. A Prada Cut peridot set on amethysts, for example, immediately draws attention. Subtle versions of the iconic Prada triangle can also be found in smaller stones on tennis bracelets and necklaces, connecting round cabochon tops with French-cut triangular facets.

While Eternal Gold highlighted the Prada logo, Couleur Vivante introduces a playful twist on the fashion house’s signature motif. Ultimately, the collection continues what Prada does best: blending traditional femininity with avant-garde design.
