Ex-OnlyFans star says adult content creators shouldn’t get U.S. visas

From TikTok to OnlyFans, content creators have increasingly sought O-1 visas to work in the U.S. — but former OnlyFans star Nala Rae told Fox News Digital that adult content does not qualify as “extraordinary ability” under U.S. immigration law.

Rae, who was one of the platform’s top creators two years ago before leaving OnlyFans after turning to Christianity, explained why she believes adult content creators should not receive visas to work in the U.S.

“Working on OnlyFans and producing adult content isn’t real work, and it shouldn’t be considered a reason to enter our country to further integrate into our society,” Rae said. “I don’t consider adult content to be legitimate work.” She clarified that other types of online content are legitimate.

O-1 visas are intended for individuals with “extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics, or demonstrated extraordinary achievement in motion picture or television industry, recognized nationally or internationally,” according to USCIS.

Rae made it clear she does not think OnlyFans creators should qualify. “I fully support banning this. I think it’s unethical to treat OnlyFans work as real work that somehow benefits our country,” she said. “Many OnlyFans creators make a lot of money, but that doesn’t necessarily help our society. OnlyFans destroys relationships and friendships. People have changed because of OnlyFans and adult content.”

Rae also pointed to the personal pressures of maintaining success on the platform. “Once you start earning a certain amount, it can become a downward spiral for your mental health, your relationships, and everything you’ve built. You’re willing to do anything to keep that income.”

She added that drug and alcohol use is common in the industry and argued the problem goes beyond visas. “If we put God first, lust, pornography, or adult content wouldn’t be desirable in our homes and lives,” she said.

Pennsylvania immigration attorney Raymond Lahoud noted that O-1B visas are often granted to influencers and online content creators. “If a noncitizen is the world’s most famous OnlyFans star and meets the O-1B criteria, who am I to judge? We issue the visa,” he said.

Rae disagreed. “I think it’s very shallow to think someone should be allowed into the country just because they earn a lot of money while ignoring the harm they cause society. It doesn’t benefit anyone, it doesn’t educate people, and it doesn’t help our society.”

She concluded by calling OnlyFans “harmful to society” and warned that allowing adult content creators to gain visas would be “a disaster for our country.”
