Hermès unveils the Cape Cod “Mini”: Petite luxury for the wrist

Hermès has introduced the Cape Cod “Mini,” a refined reinterpretation of one of the maison’s most iconic watch designs. Originally created in 1991 by Henri d’Origny, the Cape Cod is renowned for its signature “square within a rectangle” case, inspired by anchor-chain links.

The new Mini version reduces the dimensions to 27 × 20 mm, emphasizing the curve of the case and highlighting polished, gem-set, or smooth finishes.

The case is available in steel or yellow gold, while dial options include argenté, étoupe, ardoise, doré, and Rouge H, paired with supple Swift calfskin or Chamkilight leather straps. Each Cape Cod Mini is powered by a precise Swiss quartz movement and is water-resistant up to 3 bar, combining practicality with elegance.

Hermès offers the Mini with either a single or double tour strap, handcrafted in the Hermès Horloger workshops, making it the perfect accessory for those who appreciate understated yet unmistakable luxury on the wrist.
