New “Wednesday” chapter: Winona Ryder joins season 3 cast

Winona Ryder, beloved for her role as Joyce Byers in the cult hit Stranger Things, is set to join the cast of Wednesday for its third season.

Ryder will appear as a special guest, reuniting with director and producer Tim Burton, as well as Jenna Ortega, who stars as Wednesday Addams.

She is expected to feature in multiple episodes. Previously announced additions to the season include Eva Green, who will play Morticia Addams’ sister, Ophelia.

Ryder will take on the role of Tabitha, confirmed in a behind-the-scenes video announcing the start of filming for season three. The clip shows nameplates for new and returning characters, and Tabitha’s plate—marked with a “B”—hints at her connection to three other new characters: Cyrus (Noah Taylor), Atticus (Oscar Morgan), and Daisy (Kandy Moyer).
