“Survival, lies and attraction”: Priyanka Chopra and Orlando Bloom to star in thriller Reset

Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Orlando Bloom are set to join forces in Reset, a tense survival thriller directed by Matt Smukler. Production on the film is scheduled to begin in August, according to Deadline.

The screenplay was written by Jordan Rawlins. The story follows a woman (Chopra Jonas) who wakes up in the wilderness, far from civilization, with no memory of how she got there. Her only chance of survival is to trust a charming stranger (Bloom), but she gradually begins to suspect he may not be who he claims to be.

Director Matt Smukler described the casting process as a search for a very specific dynamic between the leads:

“I was looking for a pairing where attraction and mistrust could naturally coexist. Priyanka and Orlando have a rare ability to make you believe both at once. Their on-screen chemistry is undeniable.”

Producers Jon and Erich Hoeber called the script “a gripping story of survival, romance, suspense, and betrayal, full of unexpected twists.”
