22:30 21 May, 2026Wedding bells might not be in Mindy Kaling's future — and the comedian is sharing that she's totally ok with that, People writes.
The Running Point creator, 46, recently spoke with Bustle for a new feature and mentioned that when she was younger, her two biggest goals were to work on Saturday Night Live and to get married.
"Professionally, I always wanted to write on Saturday Night Live and be a cast member on Saturday Night Live," she shared. "Personally, I wanted to be married. Neither of those things happened."
When told that these things could still happen, Kaling shared that she wasn't sure if she needed them in her life anymore.
"That's interesting," she replied. "Those things could happen, but I think I don't necessarily need them anymore, maybe, which is a nice feeling."
Kaling is very private about her dating life and hasn't publicly shared much. Notably, she dated close friend B.J. Novak on and off from 2004 to 2007 while working on The Office together. He is also the godfather to her three kids — Katherine "Kit," 8, Spencer, 5, and Anne, 2.
