Lauren Sánchez Bezos Says Her Dyslexia Made Her 'Stumble a Lot' in Her Broadcast Career, but 'Never Once' Stopped Her

Lauren Sánchez Bezos is getting honest about how dyslexia affected her broadcast career, PEOPLE writes.

The multi-hyphenate, 56, who served as a co-anchor for Fox's Good Day LA from 2011 to 2017, revisited her on-air "fumbles" in a compilation video posted on Instagram on Friday, May 22.

The clip began with a newscast done by Sánchez Bezos and a co-anchor on Jan. 23, 2000.

"Back when I was a news anchor... I learned that dyslexia shows up in various ways," Sánchez Bezos wrote over the video.

"Which can mean learning to read at your own pace ... learning how to ask questions and connect ... learning how to process big emotions ... not measuring yourself by other people's assumptions ... or taking a leap of faith ... even when you aren't 100% sure...," her message continued as more videos of her on-air played in between.

The video ended with a message that read, "I've fumbled live on air. Recovered, kept going. So will you."

The former journalist, who has also served as an entertainment reporter on Extra,explained in the caption that as she anchored the news for years, she "stumbled a lot" because of her dyslexia, but it "never once" stopped her, even when she was "embarrassed."
