Tom Hardy Not Returning for MobLand Season 3 After Alleged Drama on Set: Reports

Tom Hardy's time on MobLand has reportedly come to an end. The star, 48, allegedly clashed with production on set of the Paramount+ crime drama and will not return to the series if it extends to a potential third season, Deadline and Variety reported, citing sources. Puck was first to report Hardy's alleged firing, PEOPLE writes. 

The Hollywood Reporter noted that his future on the series is still in limbo, citing a source who claims discussions are ongoing surrounding his involvement moving forward. TMZ cited a source who said the situation is "fluid" and the "door is not totally shut," though there's a "good chance" Hardy won't be back.

Reps for Hardy, Paramount and 101 Studios did not respond to PEOPLE's requests for comment.

Season 2 of MobLand has already wrapped its production and finished filming in March, Variety reports, with sources claiming that Hardy has not been asked to return to set. According to the outlet, the actor has had alleged behind-the-scenes issues with showrunner Jez Butterworth, 101 Studios and others involved in the project. Per Deadline, Butterworth and Hardy were allegedly unable to work together any longer, with a source alleging tension between Hardy and his costars, as well as Hardy being repeatedly late to set.
