Actor Jason Momoa, best known for his role as Aquaman, has purchased a scaled-down replica of the iconic 1920s Bentley Blower. The model is built at 85% of the original size. Instead of the massive 4.5-litre petrol engine under its endlessly long bonnet, it hides a fully electric powertrain.

The main irony lies in its proportions: due to its compact size, the car only fits two people, seated in tandem. For the broad-shouldered actor, who stands 193 cm tall, squeezing behind the wheel of this miniature vehicle is no easy task.

Exclusive Oxfordshire Build for an HBO Max Project

The unique replica, named Blower Jnr, was built by the British company Hedley Studios (formerly The Little Car Company), based in the renowned automotive hub of Bicester Heritage in Oxfordshire. The electric car was created specifically for Momoa’s new documentary project On The Roam on HBO Max.

The exact price of the bespoke vehicle has not been officially disclosed, but experts estimate it significantly exceeds £130,000 (the base price of the model without custom options, taxes, and delivery is £129,500).

The Minecraft movie star personally visited the workshop in Bicester to meet the team and test other cars before approving the final design of his electric vehicle, which includes more than 100 unique custom elements.

Despite its “toy-like” appearance, the Bentley Blower Jnr is a fully road-legal vehicle certified for use in the United Kingdom, the European Union, and—most importantly for the actor—the United States.

Hand-Carved Skull and Hawaiian Heritage: Unique Details

Jason Momoa approached the customization with the passion of a true petrolhead. The car features several one-of-a-kind details:

• “Momoa Crimson” body color: a deep dark-red shade developed specifically for this project.
• Aged brass finish: the wings and wheel arches are made of brass, treated so that a natural patina will develop over time.
• Hawaiian dashboard: the dashboard is crafted from rare koa wood, native to Hawaii (Momoa’s birthplace). It is typically used for surfboards and guitars.
• Tribute to his grandfather: the radiator grille and personalized license plate feature the number “666,” referencing his grandfather’s nickname, “El Diablo.”
• Skull gear lever: the gear selector is hand-carved from a solid block of brass, requiring over 100 hours of craftsmanship.
• Branding: the steering wheel is engraved with the logo of On The Roam (a symbol also tattooed on Momoa and his crew), and a plaque inside the cabin reads “Momoa 1 of 1.”
