A Cultural Ambassador Who Turns Classical Art into One of the Most Powerful Bridges Between States and Societies

Umberto Fanni, Director General and Artistic Director of the Royal Opera House Muscat, has been awarded the title of Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy by the President of the Italian Republic for his significant contribution to strengthening cultural relations between Italy and the Sultanate of Oman. The high state honor was presented to Fanni by the Ambassador of Italy to the Sultanate of Oman.

It is worth noting that Umberto Fanni has also recently been awarded the medal of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia in recognition of his contribution to music and his role in strengthening international cultural cooperation, as part of the 20th anniversary of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra.
