11:29 24 June, 2026Draped in a seductive, figure-hugging sheer lace dress, Shania Twain is sending a powerful manifesto against ageism and body insecurities.
The "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" hitmaker has been opening for pop superstar Harry Styles in London, churning out one daring look after another—and she couldn't care less what people think of her wardrobe.

In a recent interview with The Independent, Twain defiantly stated: "Yes, I have the body of a 60-year-old woman, but I'm still going to walk down the beach in a bikini. And frankly, I don't give a damn whether people like it or not."
Despite the singer's fighting spirit, her overtly sexual stage persona continues to draw mockery online.

One user on X (formerly Twitter) posted a video from a recent Styles concert showing Twain performing in a see-through black lace gown that clearly exposed her satin lingerie underneath. The caption read simply: "Shania... why?"
The post instantly went viral, sparking hundreds of opinions from both critics and defenders of the star:
"Shania has entered her 'second childhood' phase, desperately trying to stay relevant. Shania! You’re already a legend. Don't become one of those women!" one commentator lamented.
"Sometimes... you just have to accept that we all get older, and certain things just become inappropriate," another chimed in.
"This is the exact same story as Madonna and other stars who just don't know when to gracefully stop," read another comment online.
"It didn't work for Madonna. It doesn't work for Shania either. Ladies, show some elegance."
However, Twain’s massive army of fans was quick to clap back at the haters.
"'Why' what? She looks absolutely incredible!" her supporters wrote.
"Why? Probably to make all of you burst with jealousy! "
"Back in the day, she was one of the hottest women in the world for a very long time. And even now, considering her age (and we all age), she looks a hell of a lot better than most of us."
"You guys are all so mean. The woman is having the time of her life on stage, singing, and looking great. Chill out!"
Interestingly, the controversial video itself—filmed at Wembley Stadium where Shania is supporting Harry Styles on his tour for his fourth album, Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally—originally featured an admiring text overlay: "Oh my god, to look LIKE THIS at 60!"

Shania Twain has never hidden the fact that she struggled deeply with the bodily changes brought on by menopause. In a recent interview with The Times, the country icon admitted that she experienced a profound crisis during her 2019 Las Vegas residency.
"I just stopped looking at myself in the mirror. I hated my body," the singer candidly shared.
Now, having crossed the 60-year milestone, the star seems to have finally found complete harmony with herself, proving that the opinions of outsiders no longer carry any weight in her world.
