His owners, 33-year-old Linka Lin and 35-year-old Mark Kelly, are absolutely thrilled by their pet's uncanny talent.

Since the tournament kicked off in North America, Linka has been placing the flags of the two competing nations in front of Billy. The cat then selects the future winner by simply tapping a flag with his paw. Just last night, the furry prophet got it right yet again, successfully predicting Argentina's victory over Austria.
From Shelter Cat to World Cup Oracle
The family resides in the city of Newry (County Down, Northern Ireland). Linka adopted Billy from a USPCA charity shelter when he was just three months old, affectionately nicknaming him "Billy the Heart" due to a unique heart-shaped mark on his nose.
"We knew right away that he was highly intelligent and brilliant at communicating what he wanted," Linka shared. "He uses different meow intonations and body language to show his desires. For instance, he’ll lead me to the door if he wants a walk or to beg for a treat. We were trying to think of a way to showcase his intelligence and personality on video. We started with simple 'this or that' tests—asking him to choose between Pepsi or Coke, rice or noodles. Then, I came home from an event with a bunch of tiny flags. The World Cup had just started, so we thought, 'Why not?' We completely didn't expect these videos to go so viral."
According to Linka, Billy sometimes makes his decision instantly, while other times he needs a moment to ponder.
"One time, the whole process completely fell apart because a fly buzzed into the room, and he just couldn't focus on the flags," Linka laughed.
