The son of Emirati billionaire Hussain Sajwani is close to finalizing a deal to purchase one of London's most expensive mansions for approximately £190 million ($241 million).

According to Financial Times sources, Abbas Sajwani is the buyer behind the historic The Holme estate in Regent's Park. The transaction is set to rank among the largest residential deals in the history of the British capital. His father, Hussain Sajwani, is a long-standing business partner of Donald Trump.

The Financial Times had previously reported on the upcoming sale, but the identity of the buyer had remained a closely guarded secret until now.

The new transaction comes less than two years after the current owner (whose identity has still not been disclosed to the public) acquired the 40-bedroom residence for £139 million. Prior to that, the property was under receivership, and before that, it belonged to members of the Saudi Arabian royal family.

The Holme mansion, located near the US Ambassador's residence, is surrounded by approximately four acres of private gardens and is held under a long-term lease from the Crown Estate.

According to one source, Abbas Sajwani is acquiring the property on behalf of his family.

Ties to Trump and Elon Musk

His father, Hussain Sajwani, is sometimes referred to in business circles as the "Donald of Dubai" due to his close ties to the American leader. Last year, during a joint press conference, they announced plans to invest $20 billion into US data centers over four years. At the time, Trump praised Sajwani as a "great investor."

Sajwani and Trump have known each other since 2011, when Sajwani’s development company, Damac, partnered with the Trump Organization to build the Middle East's first Trump-branded golf course. Additionally, the Emirati billionaire has invested in Elon Musk's technology ventures, including the aerospace company SpaceX and the artificial intelligence startup xAI.

According to Forbes, Hussain Sajwani's net worth has tripled since 2024 and is currently estimated at $15.3 billion.

Abbas Sajwani's official website states that "at 26, Abbas Sajwani is the youngest billionaire in the global real estate sector, having built a multi-billion dollar development company in less than five years."

His own company, AHS Properties, specializes in the ultra-luxury real estate segment in Dubai. Just this month, the developer announced the acquisition of the five-star Shangri-La Hotel in Dubai for $300 million.

Market Context

Despite the staggering £190 million price tag, the sale of The Holme falls just short of this year's top record. Earlier, property developer and Reform UK party treasurer Nick Candy sold his Chelsea mansion for over £275 million to Sunil Setia, co-founder of the trading firm Quadrature Capital.
