Popular Fashion Blogger Breaks Down in Tears Online After Theft of 150 Designer Handbag Collection

A popular fashion blogger tearfully revealed that a massive collection of designer handbags, numbering around 150 items, was stolen from her home.

Susanna Lau, 42, better known online as Susie Bubble, shot to fame back in 2006 thanks to her fashion blog, Style Bubble. Today, she boasts over 701,000 followers on Instagram, where she regularly shares glimpses of her luxurious lifestyle, stylish outfits, and expensive wardrobe.

Earlier this week, the social media star posted an emotional video confessing that her London home had been burgled. Upon returning from a recent trip to the Maldives, Susanna discovered that intruders had broken into her house. "All my bags are gone. Around 150 of them. The number sounds insane, but I’ve been collecting them for a very long time — the better part of the last 20 years," explained Lau, who always accessorized her outfits with high-end pieces, through tears. "Overnight, I went from the queen of bags to a nobody. They wiped me clean."

For the fashion blogger, the loss was a deeply personal tragedy. According to her, each bag served as a reminder of "amazing trips and life moments." Many were gifts from close friends. "It’s not just the loss of things; it’s the loss of memories," she added.

Fear and Paranoia in Her Own Home

Lau noted that she wouldn't go into the details of the break-in since the police investigation is still ongoing, but she admitted the incident left her with a heavy feeling of "total violation of personal space." The blogger is now afraid to go outside or stay home alone.

At the same time, Susanna emphasized that she is "painfully aware of how typical of a first-world problem this is" and even urged her followers to "bring her back down to earth."

"Maybe I didn't even deserve all these wonderful opportunities in the first place? I'm trying to minimize this loss for myself so I don't feel so devastated. Even saying the word 'devastated' out loud in this context sounds ridiculous.

After all, they’re just clothes. Come on, tell me in the comments that I’m being silly, call me a fool for even recording this video. It’s stupid to get so attached to what are essentially just pieces of stitched leather and metal hardware."

The incident forced the blogger to reflect on whether she had gone too far with her consumerism. She honestly admitted: "Nobody needs that many bags."

As for rebuilding the collection, Lau stated that going out and buying a bunch of designer bags all at once would feel "weird" to her.

"That's not how things are collected, at least not for me. I don't like buying a ton of stuff in one go. I loved that they came into my wardrobe gradually, and each one had its own story," Susanna concluded.
