Nearly 15 years have passed since Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries made headlines with their highly publicized divorce after just 72 days of marriage. While Kardashian remains one of the world's most talked-about celebrities, her former husband has largely stepped away from the spotlight and completely reinvented his life.

Now 41, Humphries retired from the NBA in 2017 and shifted his focus to business. Today, the former basketball player is expanding the Dave's Hot Chicken fast-food franchise across the U.S. state of Minnesota.

"After leaving professional sports, I wanted to stay out of the spotlight and start a new chapter in my life. Right now, my focus is growing my business ventures," Humphries said.

He opened his first restaurant in 2023 near the high school he once attended. He initially signed an agreement to open ten locations before expanding his plans to a total of 30 restaurants across the region.

These days, Humphries' social media is far more focused on his business than his personal life. He regularly visits his restaurants, meets with customers, and takes part in promotional events.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries began dating in 2010 and married in the summer of 2011. Just 72 days later, Kardashian filed for divorce. She later admitted that she realized she had made a mistake during their honeymoon and, years afterward, publicly said she wished she could apologize to Humphries for the way their relationship ended.
