Cara Delevingne is the cover star of Playboy's summer issue. For the cover, the 33-year-old model and actress posed without pants, covering herself with one arm, and revealed in the accompanying interview that she views the photoshoot as a form of protest.

According to Delevingne, the opportunity to collaborate with the iconic men's magazine appealed to her because it allowed her to challenge its long-established image.

"Playboy has always been a very heterosexual institution. That's exactly why this shoot felt like my own way of saying, 'F* you.' Especially because it was created by an incredible all-female team, many of whom are members of the LGBTQ+ community. It was such a unique and joyful experience,"** she said.

During the interview, Delevingne also spoke candidly about her life after giving up alcohol and drugs, admitting that sobriety has completely changed the way she experiences intimacy.

"Having sex sober after everything I've been through wasn't easy at first. But now it's become so much deeper and more emotional. I used to place far too much importance on sex and on other people's approval. I thought I was searching for love and validation through sex," she shared.

The model added that she now sees her sexuality in a very different way.

"Sexuality is a language, too. It's important not only to think about how other people see us, but to learn to love ourselves. That's part of the journey of discovering who you are," Delevingne said.
