Despite Reconciling With King Charles, Prince Harry Still Isn't Speaking to Prince William

Prince Harry's long-awaited reconciliation with King Charles III has raised hopes of healing the deep divisions within the British royal family. However, according to sources who spoke to People, the Duke of Sussex's relationship with his older brother, Prince William, remains as strained as ever.

According to one insider familiar with both brothers, the two are still not speaking at all.

"I thought things might soften with time. But nothing has changed on William's side. There is absolutely no contact between them," the source said.

Another source described the brothers' relationship as "completely broken."

Although Harry and William were just a few miles apart in London on July 7, there were reportedly no plans for them to meet. While Harry was in the UK on a working visit, the Prince and Princess of Wales attended the annual charity polo tournament in Windsor.

According to People, the rift has now extended to the next generation of the royal family. William and Kate Middleton's children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, reportedly have little to no relationship with their cousins, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who live in California.

Royal biographer Simon Vigar believes Princess Diana would have been deeply saddened by the ongoing estrangement.

"Diana would have been devastated that things turned out this way, especially considering how close her sons once were," he said.

Harry's relationship with his father, however, appears to be improving. During his most recent visit to the UK, the Duke of Sussex met with King Charles III and Queen Camilla. He also brought Meghan Markle, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet to Britain for the first time in four years.

"Their relationship has improved," a source close to the family told the magazine.

Prince Harry has repeatedly said he hopes to repair ties with his relatives. In an interview with the BBC last year, he said:

"I would like reconciliation with my family. There's no point in continuing to fight."
