Kardashian Family Mourns the Death of Kris Jenner's Mother

Kris Jenner, 70, announced her mother's passing in an emotional Instagram post, sharing a heartfelt tribute.

"Today we said goodbye to my beautiful mom, M.J. There are no words to express what she meant to me or how hard it is to let her go. My mom was the heart of our family. She taught me the most important things in life: to love your family unconditionally, to be kind, to always show up for the people you love, and to cherish every moment you have together."

Kris also thanked her mother for a lifetime of love, support, and guidance.

"Mom, thank you for every sacrifice you made, every piece of wisdom you shared, and the love you gave us every single day. I'll miss our daily conversations, your smile, and your laughter. My heart is shattered into a million pieces."

Mary Jo Shannon was a familiar face to fans of the Kardashian family, making regular appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. In 1980, she founded the children's boutique Shannon & Co. in San Diego.

In one interview, she recalled that Kim Kardashian loved counting money in the store as a child and even came up with a playful rhyme: "Counting is my game, and money is my name."

After the death of Kris Jenner's stepfather, businessman Harry Shannon, who was killed in a car accident in 2003, Mary Jo remained one of the closest and most beloved figures in the Kardashian-Jenner family.
