10:40 20 July, 2026Shakira has once again found herself at the center of fan frenzy. The buzz was triggered by her warm and playful interaction with 26-year-old footballer Ferran Torres on Sunday, coming right after the rising Spanish star scored the winning goal against Argentina in the 2026 World Cup final.

Shakira, along with 47-year-old comedian Kevin Hart, presented Torres with the Man of the Match award.
As the pop diva embraced the tournament's hero, fans flooded social media with satirical posts targeting her ex-partner, 39-year-old former defender Gerard Piqué. Fans joked that Piqué must be "kicking himself" watching Shakira flirt with the younger, handsome Torres.

The former couple spent 11 years together before their bitter, highly publicized split in June 2022.
Users on X (formerly Twitter) didn't hold back:
"Shakira presenting him with the award... Torres is winning both on and off the pitch tonight," one viewer noted.
"Torres stole her heart... My guy is taking all the Ws today," another joked.
Notably, this marks Shakira's fourth World Cup collaboration, officially surpassing her ex in tournament appearances: Piqué played in the World Cup three times as a player (2010, 2014, and 2018).
Shakira first performed at the tournament in Germany in 2006, followed by her iconic performances in South Africa in 2010 and Brazil in 2014, making her name nearly synonymous with football’s biggest global event by 2026.
