Ben Affleck couldn't contain his sheer excitement upon learning he had won the grand prize on the iconic game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. At the decisive moment, the actor literally jumped up and rushed to hug his game partner — legendary Jeopardy! champion Jennings (Jamie) Dean.

In the finale of the ABC show hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the duo faced a tricky question about traditional turkeys pardoned by U.S. presidents. The trivia masters had to figure out which pair of names had never belonged to a presidential bird.

"So we're picking D — Spaghetti and Meatball?" Dean double-checked after brief consideration.

"Yes," Affleck nodded.

After a few seconds of tense anticipation, the studio lit up with the winning chime: the answer was correct!

The actor and trivia icon were not playing for personal gain — the entire $1 million prize will go directly to the Eastern Congo Initiative charity foundation. Ben Affleck founded the non-profit back in 2010 to support local communities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

During the broadcast, Ben shared that he has dedicated 15 years to this cause.

Affleck was fortunate with his partner: Jamie Dean boasts a 31-game winning streak on Jeopardy!, making him the fifth longest-running champion in the show's history.

Interestingly, Ben's triumph comes exactly one year after his best friend, Matt Damon, also won $1 million on the very same show.

The episode aired just a week following tragic news: Ben Affleck's mother, Christopher (Chris) Affleck, passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
