Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock Surprise Fans Ahead of 'Practical Magic 2' Premiere

Just weeks before the long-awaited sequel to the cult classic Practical Magic hits theaters, Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock have re-teamed to deliver the ultimate fan moment.

Kidman, 59, and Bullock, 62, thrilled moviegoers with a surprise appearance at a special screening of the original 1998 film, hosted by Cinespia at the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.

Behind-the-scenes footage posted to Instagram shows the crowd going wild as the screen sisters took the stage together.

Bullock joked with the audience:“Practical Magic is the perfect movie to show in a cemetery.”

For her part, Kidman thanked the dedicated fandom whose decades of devotion brought the follow-up project to life: “Thank you for helping us make part two, which is coming out very soon!”

Practical Magic 2 is slated to premiere in theaters on September 11.

The original late-’90s classic was based on Alice Hoffman’s 1995 novel of the same name. The plot centers on sisters Gillian (Kidman) and Sally (Bullock), descendants of a long line of witches. Raised by their eccentric aunts—played by Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest—the young women learn to embrace their magical heritage despite a family curse hanging over their love lives.
