The Chinese company AheadForm has unveiled an innovative humanoid robot named Origin–F1. Its appearance and facial expressions are so realistic that footage of it can easily be mistaken for a clip from a Hollywood blockbuster.

The developers describe Origin–F1 as a "desktop ultra-bionic humanoid robot for interacting with the real world." Thanks to artificial intelligence and special facial expression algorithms, the machine demonstrates striking liveliness of movement:

• The robot features 26 degrees of freedom, allowing it to reproduce the smallest micro-expressions and eye movements, and synchronize them with speech.

• High-precision biomimetic skin and 3D reconstruction of virtual likenesses enabled the creators to bypass the frightening "uncanny valley" effect.

• In the baseline line, the robot is presented in two versions — with black and light-blonde hair, though the company promises an unlimited number of appearance options in the future.

Pricing and wild user reactions

The price of the futuristic novelty ranges from $50,000 to $173,000 depending on the configuration. Despite the hefty price tag, the development caused a real sensation online. Many users admitted in the comments that they are ready to save up money for such a purchase:
