Armenian artist Tigran Tsitoghdzyan has created the cover for the August edition of Los Angeles Magazine's annual Best of L.A. issue, one of the publication's most anticipated releases celebrating the people, places, and trends shaping the city today.

Created exclusively for the issue, the new artwork draws inspiration from Tsitoghdzyan's acclaimed Mirror series. His signature visual language, in which the human face appears partially concealed by hands, once again takes center stage, this time serving as a symbol of contemporary Los Angeles.

"Every year, Los Angeles Magazine publishes its ultimate guide to the city. In this edition, we spotlight the people and places defining Los Angeles today, while Tigran Tsitoghdzyan has created a cover that offers his own artistic vision of the city, inspired by his Mirror series," the magazine said.

In the feature accompanying the issue, the artist also shared details about his upcoming projects. He is currently preparing solo exhibitions in Milan, Yerevan, and Miami. In fall 2026, the flagship store of Hayeli Chayeli NYC, the fashion brand he co-founded with designer Armine Oganian, will open in New York, followed by a second flagship location in Los Angeles in 2027.

The annual Best of L.A. issue is considered one of Los Angeles Magazine's signature publications, with its cover traditionally highlighting the people and ideas shaping the city's cultural identity. This year, that distinction was entrusted to Tigran Tsitoghdzyan.
