16:17 11 August, 2026In Australia, the vigilance of local residents and police led to a large-scale investigation that ended with an unexpected discovery: a "body" found inside a suitcase turned out to be a hyper-realistic sex doll.
The incident occurred last Sunday in a rural area of New South Wales. Two men driving along a country road accidentally spotted a discarded suitcase. The contents raised the most terrifying suspicions—the suitcase looked as though human remains had been packed into it, according to AFP.
The situation appeared so threatening that the police immediately brought out the heavy artillery: a special task force composed of homicide detectives and forensic experts was formed to investigate the suspected murder.
However, after specialists conducted a forensic examination, it turned out that the suitcase contained not a human being, but a high-quality sex doll.
"Initially, they were mistaken for human remains," New South Wales Police Superintendent Linda Bradbury told journalists. "They look very realistic in terms of resembling human remains."
According to the police, the doll was dressed in clothing, had hair, and even a nose piercing. The situation was further aggravated by the fact that the surface of the artificial body bore marks that suspiciously resembled bruises and abrasions.
Following all necessary examinations, law enforcement officially closed the case.
