"Luxury Porn" and Silicon Valley Secrets: How the Wife of an Anthropic Billionaire Tried to Lure Jeffrey Epstein into Her Porn Project

A new investigation by The Wall Street Journal casts a shadow over Cami Clark, the low-profile wife of Anthropic CEO and billionaire Dario Amodei. Leaked files from Jeffrey Epstein have revealed that in the past, she attempted to recruit the disgraced financier as an investor for her startups.

Who is Cami Clark?

An entrepreneur who married Dario Amodei in 2022 (prior to that, she was in a relationship with former Google CEO Eric Schmidt). According to the WSJ, she acts as an "advisor and strategic mind" for her influential husband.

Previously, Clark attempted to launch a "free luxury porn company" for women, as well as a "social dieting" app.

In March 2011, literary agent John Brockman introduced Clark and her business partner to Epstein, suggesting they have dinner together. Their correspondence continued into 2012.

Clark sent Epstein scripts for her projects, adult materials ("slightly NSFW"), and investment ideas. Although Epstein stated that he was ready to "look at viable projects," there is no evidence that he ultimately invested money in her business.

This communication took place after Epstein was convicted of procuring prostitution in 2008 and registered as a sex offender. Clark herself has not commented on the WSJ publication.

What is Known About Their Communication From the "Epstein Files"

The correspondence between Clark and Epstein was professional yet casual in tone.

In March 2011, Clark sent the financier a script and concept for her company's first films, noting that he and the "ladies" might appreciate the content.

A year later, in March 2012, Clark reached out again, reminding him of her "luxury porn company." Epstein replied: "Yes, a loud gong went off."

During the correspondence, Clark discussed potential funding for her video projects and pitched her health-tracking and infographic app.

The contacts were not limited to 2012: in July of that year, she invited Epstein to a housewarming party, and in 2013, they connected on LinkedIn. There is no data regarding personal meetings after their initial introduction in 2011.

Why Does This Matter Now?

The scandal is unfolding at a highly sensitive moment for Anthropic:

1. The startup is preparing to go public as early as this fall, with a valuation expected to reach a staggering $2 trillion or more. Ahead of the IPO, leadership is actively courting investors.

2. Although Dario Amodei himself has not been linked to Epstein, Cami Clark's status as a key advisor to her husband draws intense scrutiny to her past.

3. The WSJ notes that there is virtually no public information about Clark online (even Anthropic's Claude AI model refuses to confirm Amodei's marriage), and sources report prior efforts to scrub public mentions of her.
