Sex scandal at Charles de Gaulle Airport: Why Air France urgently closed its elite adult sauna

The French national carrier, Air France, has decided to put an end to spicy rumors that quickly went viral on social media and travel blogs. The airline officially denied reports that the sauna in their signature business lounge in Terminal 2E (Hall L) at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) was closed due to indecent passenger behavior and its transformation into a "sex den."

The story gained traction after aviation blogger Matthew Klint from the portal Live and Let's Fly discovered the closed sauna area during his visit to the lounge. When asked about the reason for the closure, a lounge manager responded with a cryptic phrase implying that guests "were doing things in there that they shouldn't have been doing." The quote instantly spread across specialized media and public pages, sparking a wave of jokes about a "high-altitude sex scandal."

Airline representatives shut down the speculation by replying to a viral post on the Instagram account cursednews4u. "We would like to refute this information. The men's and women's saunas were closed back in September 2025 due to low attendance and as part of our program to standardize services across all Terminal 2 business lounges at Charles de Gaulle Airport."
