Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly spent a six-figure sum on a private jet flight from Los Angeles to Birmingham.

Page Six learned exclusively from sources that the couple chartered the aircraft from private aviation operator Planet 9. According to industry experts, a 10-hour flight on such a jet costs around $12,000 per hour.

The Bombardier Global Express XRS, which underwent a major refurbishment in 2023, features two bathrooms and comfortable seating for 13 passengers. The aircraft also has five beds accommodating up to six people.

According to a Page Six insider, the couple opted for a private flight specifically so they could bring their beloved family pets to the UK — their black Labrador, Pula, and beagle, Mia.

News that Meghan and Harry were returning to the UK for an “extended stay,” six years after relocating to Montecito, California, came as a surprise to the public.

“Buckingham Palace was alerted to the move,” a source told Page Six. King Charles III was informed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were returning several days before the news reached the media.
