Kylie Jenner has posed for one of the most revealing photoshoots of her career and, for the first time, opened up at length about the years of criticism surrounding her status as the “youngest self-made billionaire.”

The 29-year-old reality star and founder of her beauty empire graces the provocative cover of Who What Wear.

In 2019, Forbes named Jenner the “youngest self-made billionaire” after she sold a 51 percent stake in her cosmetics company, Kylie Cosmetics, to Coty for $600 million.

At the time, Jenner was just 21 years old. She surpassed Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, who became a billionaire at the age of 23 in 2008.

However, the label “self-made billionaire” has been the subject of controversy for years. Critics have pointed out that Jenner grew up in an extremely wealthy family, where several members were already multimillionaires.

Now, Jenner herself has decided to address the criticism.

“Not one dollar of the money I’ve ever made was inherited. So technically, it’s true. But I think people just feel that the privilege I had was a huge stepping stone for me,” she admitted in her interview with Who What Wear.

Forbes later revised its estimate of Jenner’s wealth, reporting that her actual net worth was around $670 million.

In the new interview, Kylie also spoke candidly about motherhood and explained why she has decided not to have any more children.

Jenner shares two children with rapper Travis Scott: eight-year-old daughter Stormi and four-year-old son Aire.

According to Kylie, when she turned 25, she promised herself she would take a break from having children and devote the second half of her twenties to herself.

“I promised myself at 25 that I wasn’t going to have any more kids for a while and that I was just going to try to enjoy the second half of my twenties. Because the first half was basically, ‘You’re pregnant,’ and then there was a year of recovery — my mental health, postpartum depression and everything else,” she said.

Jenner admitted that becoming a mother at such a young age left her feeling as though she had missed out on some of the carefree years of her life.

“I felt like I lost the younger years of my life,” she said.

When asked what she is now willing to give up despite once considering it essential, Jenner unexpectedly opened up about her former obsession with enormous homes and excessive luxury.

Kylie recalled that, when she was younger, she was obsessed with the idea of living as large as possible. She bought an enormous home in Beverly Hills and simply “went all out.”

“I realized my life had gotten too big, and I was like, ‘No, I don’t want this anymore.’ I think for a while I lost a little bit of control over my own life,” the star admitted.
