The 65-year-old Hollywood actor and his 48-year-old human rights lawyer wife, who recently had to evacuate their home in France in an emergency, attended a social event at the famous Villa Passalacqua.

The couple opted for perfectly coordinated ivory-toned looks for the evening. George went for a relaxed short-sleeved shirt tucked into trousers, completing his monochrome outfit with classic loafers.

Amal looked stunning in a flowing floor-length slip dress with a plunging neckline. As she stepped off the boat, she carried a small bouquet of flowers that had been presented to her as a complimentary gift. She completed her bridal-inspired ensemble with statement chandelier earrings, chunky bracelets and strappy silver sandals.

The star couple, who are parents to nine-year-old twins Ella and Alexander, traditionally spend their summer holidays in Italy.
