“Everyone Thought We Were Having a Threesome”: Influencer Moves Her Husband’s Ex-Wife Into Their Home and Explains Her “Crazy” Decision

Bunny Hedaya’s followers are used to seeing glimpses of her life on social media — as an influencer, entrepreneur, reality TV personality and mother. But one recent family revelation left the internet utterly stunned.

Earlier this year, Bunny revealed that her husband, Harry, and his ex-wife, Carrie Charles, were now living under the same roof as her. Carrie temporarily moved into the couple’s home in Tampa, Florida, while renovations were being carried out at her own house, which is literally located just across the street.

The unusual family arrangement immediately raised questions: How exactly do the three of them live together? Some social media users even speculated that there was a secret romantic relationship between them — and that the trio was involved in a polyamorous “throuple.”

But Hedaya insists there is absolutely nothing scandalous going on.

“We’re not sleeping together. You can absolutely have a great relationship with an ex,” 35-year-old Bunny told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview.

Bunny has been married to 58-year-old entrepreneur Harry Hedaya for 12 years. When they first met, Harry and Carrie, who is also 58, had already been divorced for about a decade. Over the years, they had developed a comfortable relationship and successfully co-parented their two children.

According to Bunny, that existing relationship helped her gradually grow closer to her husband’s former wife. Bunny and Harry later welcomed a son together.

Hedaya admits that her relationship with Carrie developed gradually. There were periods when the two women were particularly close, as well as times when things were more complicated.

“We’ve had different phases over the years, but the last two years have been wonderful,” Bunny said.

Carrie’s move was originally supposed to be temporary. Renovations on her home were expected to take about four months, but the work dragged on considerably longer than planned.

Contractors now believe the renovation could take more than a year to complete. That means Carrie, who has already been living with the family for several months, could remain under the same roof with the Hedayas for quite some time.

Bunny, however, says she has no problem with the arrangement. In fact, she has grown accustomed to having Carrie around — especially since all three of them lead busy lives and are not necessarily home at the same time.

“Carrie is more like my husband’s sister. I know most people will say that sounds weird, but that’s the relationship they have now,” Bunny admitted.

That close bond has only made the endless online rumors about a secret romance between the three adults more amusing to Hedaya.

Bunny flatly denies the speculation. “Carrie actually got married in Italy a month ago, and she’s very happy in her relationship. We’re happy in ours,” she stressed.

Ultimately, Bunny says she refuses to let other people’s assumptions define a family dynamic that works perfectly well for everyone involved.

She hopes their story can serve as an example that divorce does not necessarily have to turn former spouses into enemies — particularly once the children are grown, life has changed and old resentments have been left behind.

“I think this is a really good example of everyone involved being adults and saying, ‘Hey, we don’t have to hate each other after a divorce. Sometimes relationships after divorce can actually become even better than they were in the beginning,’” Bunny concluded.
