$375,000 Worth of Glamour: Amal Clooney Steals the Spotlight at the Venice Film Festival in Tom Ford and Cartier

Amal Clooney knows exactly how to make a grand entrance. On Wednesday evening, she dazzled in a cascade of diamonds, choosing an elegant black gown as the perfect canvas for her statement jewelry.

For the premiere of Ink, Amal arrived with her husband in anything but an ordinary “little black dress.” Her figure-hugging column gown, featuring delicate draping throughout and glossy spaghetti straps, was created exclusively by Haider Ackermann for Tom Ford.

The real showstopper, however, was her Cartier jewelry:

• Diamond drop earrings, featuring 3.7 carats of diamonds and six large emerald beads, were valued at $149,000.
• A diamond bracelet weighing 8.29 carats completed the look, adding another $225,000 to the total.

The evening was particularly special for the couple. George, looking impeccably polished in a classic tuxedo, was honored with the prestigious Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement in cinema.
