Fatal injection: 43-year-old influencer dies after penis enlargement procedure

Nigerian influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, 43, who lived in London and regularly showcased his lavish lifestyle on social media, has died unexpectedly following a cosmetic penis enlargement procedure.

Ubiribo died on March 6, but details surrounding his death only emerged months later through an investigation by Westminster Coroner’s Court, documents from which were obtained by PEOPLE.

The day before his death, on March 5, the influencer underwent hyaluronic acid injections to the penis in Bangkok. The procedure is considered a non-surgical method of increasing its volume.

However, shortly after the procedure, Ubiribo began complaining of chest pain before losing consciousness.

He was rushed to a local hospital, where doctors planned to perform a CT scan. However, his condition suddenly deteriorated and he lost consciousness before the examination could begin.

Medics made desperate attempts to revive him. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation continued for 101 minutes, but the 43-year-old could not be saved.

At a hearing into Ubiribo’s death, the court was presented with the results of post-mortem and toxicology examinations.

According to the investigation, his death was caused by complications following the hyaluronic acid injection and a pulmonary embolism.

A pulmonary embolism occurs when a blood clot blocks a blood vessel carrying blood to the lungs. It is a life-threatening condition that can cause a sudden disruption of blood circulation and result in death.

Ubiribo’s story is particularly tragic given the lavish lifestyle he regularly shared with his followers.

More than 180,000 people followed him on Instagram. He posted pictures from luxury trips, high-profile social events and other glimpses of his glamorous life, as well as photos with his wife, Dani Allen.

Following his death, however, the glamorous posts that once filled his social media accounts were replaced by heartbreaking tributes from friends.
