Donald Trump’s granddaughter gives a tour of her freshman apartment in Miami

Kai Trump, the granddaughter of U.S. President Donald Trump, has given her followers a video tour of her Florida apartment as she begins her freshman year at the University of Miami.

The 18-year-old granddaughter of Donald Trump said on YouTube that she decided to “show off” her new apartment because “so many people were dying to see it.”

Kai described her new home as “really cool” and shared her excitement with viewers.

“Obviously, I’m incredibly, insanely lucky to have an apartment like this as a freshman. I’m so excited. It’s so nice to come home and have no one waiting for you.”

Kai began the tour in the kitchen, which she called her “favorite part” because she “eats a lot.” The space features a panoramic photograph of the New York skyline, a white sofa, a TV and what she called the “coolest detail” — a fireplace.

She also showed off the guest bathroom, a home office where she does her homework, and a spacious bedroom with a walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom.

Among the apartment’s decorative touches are framed personal photographs, ranging from pictures taken during trips to Aspen, Colorado, to a photo of Kai with her grandfather, President Donald Trump, riding in a golf cart.

Kai admitted that living on her own initially felt strange, and said she had already made “several” trips back home to Jupiter, Florida.

“All my golf equipment is still in Jupiter, and that’s where my coaches and mentors are, so on a free day I try to go home. Everything is going great.”

She added that college life has been a lot of fun, although balancing it with sports has been challenging. Because of her busy golf training schedule, she has barely had time to explore Miami so far.

“I’m here for golf, not partying, so I think that’s okay.”

Along with the excitement of college life, the past few weeks have also been challenging for Kai health-wise. She has battled a strep infection and sinusitis, and had previously dealt with food poisoning.

Earlier, in a video documenting her move to Miami, Kai struggled to hold back tears as she said goodbye to her loved ones.

“I’m not an emotional person at all, so for me to be crying this much is so crazy,” she admitted in the vlog. “Knowing that I’m going to have to say goodbye to everyone that night — it’s really hard.”
